About the furniture

The glass-topped table is made from European oak and stripped willow to a design by Gavin Harris, one of the owners of the Manorhaus, himself trained in architecture. The two base sections can be variously arranged to create a large-, medium- or small- table, or a plinth.

About the furniture designer/maker

Rob Maxwell (Maxwell Woodworking)

Rob Maxwell began formal training at Kelsterton College in 1991 studying Joinery and Advanced Craft. Soon after, Rob set up a workshop in North Wales making mainly finishing components and one-off pieces of furniture. The workshop was relocated to Bath for a few years and in 2001 was re-established in North Wales. Rob works with designers, architects and private clients producing small pieces of furniture through to complete bar fits and bespoke kitchens. Although mainly making fine furniture Rob describes himself primarily as a woodworker, taking on projects that provide a challenge.
